My name is Matt Dawson.
I don't approach my artwork with any distinct idea or style – rather a feeling of spontaneous creativity that starts my mind’s eye turning. In those moments of expression I rarely hold back and allow my art to develop naturally.
My exact process is ever changing and very experimental. However, I often rely on a method of additive and subtractive painting. I use all types of mediums but favor acrylics and water color.
Painting and creating art is my way of escaping the mundane of life. It's a form of exploration that takes me out of my comfort zone. I believe the process of creating art is one of the most rewarding and stimulating experiences life has to offer. Being able to create something original allows me to leave my mark on the world.
